Malta Independent Thursday, 6 July 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

For five HSBC customers, this World Cup has become extra special after being drawn as the winners in phase one of HSBC Bank Malta plc’s Grand World Cup experience lottery. Clay Douglass, Roberto Stivala and David Xuereb and their respective guests were present at the quarter-final match between Argentina and Germany in Berlin on 30 June after winning match tickets through the ‘Grand HSBC World Cup experience’. Daniele Gauci and Carmen Tanti watched the semi final match between Germany and Italy held in Dortmund last Tuesday. All the winners and their respective guests have also been spending a week in Germany compliments of HSBC Malta.

All HSBC customers who took out a new Flexicredit, Home Loan, Maxicredit, Credit Card, Gold Account or purchased a Life Assurance or Investment Product were given free entries to win the prizes on offer. HSBC debit and credit cardholders also received a free entry for every Lm250 worth of transactions that they spent during the campaign.

“Whilst wishing our five winners and their guests a great time in Germany, there are still some great prizes to be won, since two 42” Plasma screen TVs and a brand new Peugeot 107 will be drawn on the 16 July 2006 at our stand at the Trade Fair grounds. So all those customers who take out an HSBC product from a selected range before this date will, not only enjoy the special discounts that HSBC is offering on these products, but will also be in with a chance to win and make this a truly unforgettable World Cup experience,” said Ray Briffa, head of branch banking.
