Tuesdays and Thursdays are days to look forward to for the many kids at the Eden Summer Club.

Well into the first month of activities, the number of kids has increased because word has gone round of how great it all is and what fun it is to spend time with Matthew, their carer. Matthew Debono, for three years Malta’s Tennis Champion and a Tennis coach for juniors, is extremely popular with the kids who look up to him as the instigator for all the Summer Club activities.

Bowling has that competitive edge to it which the kids love. It is the first activity each morning, followed by the viewing of a film at the Eden Cinemas on Tuesdays and by fun fitness exercises hosted by a Cynergi instructor who is qualified in children’s physical education on Thursdays. In between, the kids are painting pictures and the best will win a Stabilo painting kit, at the end of the month.

The kids have also been entertained by the Malta Tourism Authority, as part of the drive to create national awareness. Many of them volunteered to take an active part in the little “enactment” that took place. A similar event will be held in August and in September.
