A charity gala dinner is being organised to raise money in the name of Amy Zahra who contracted meningitis and brought national awareness of this disease.

It will be held on Friday at the Oracle Hall of the Dolmen Resort Hotel.

Guests will be served a pre-dinner drink at 8pm and a four-course meal followed by entertainment by various artistes such as Chiara, Carrie, Keith Camilleri, Ira Losco and Maddee, an established singer from the UK. There will also be an auction and raffle.

Various items are going to be auctioned such as paintings, sculptures by well-known Maltese artists and for the music lovers, three Gold Discs from EMI Publishing Company (Lady Marmalade from Moulin Rouge, Drops of Jupiter from Train and Indian Summer from Go West, a John Lennon box set, a signed Paul McCartney Concert Ticket (1990 world tour), a signed Brian Ferry framed picture (one of 65 in the world), a John Lennon & The FBI Files book signed by the author Philip Strongman (in English as well in Japanese which is hard to find), 2 signed DVDs from Natasha McQueen (Chill Out with a vision), a signed Jamie Oliver T-Shirt and more.

Air tickets, weekend breaks, signed CDs by international artists will be raffled.

Auctioned items will be on display on Thursday from 7pm onwards at the Oracle Foyer outside the Oracle Hall at the Dolmen Resort Hotel. Private early biddings can be made on this day. Gill will be present with details about the reserved price.
