The Wall Street Journal Europe is once again available in Malta after an absence of 10 years. This pan-European business newspaper is now available from leading newsagents at the start of each business day.
“We welcome the opportunity to grow our business in the region through our newly-formed distribution agreement with Miller Distributors,” said managing director, The Wall Street Journal Europe, Jon Housman.
“We look forward to bringing our readers in Malta timely coverage of the global business, political and economic news that matters most to them,” he continued.
Distribution in Malta is the latest in a series of innovations to be made by the Journal Europe since its move to a compact, online-integrated format last October. In addition to online, its content is also available through a variety of formats, including mobile telephones, BlackBerry devices, MP3 players and in WiFi areas. It also carries selected award-winning articles from The Washington Post.
This world-renowned business paper was the first pan-regional daily publication in its market to move to a compact format. Newspaper publishing experience has shown that compacts are increasingly popular with readers in many parts of the world.
With its incisive, impartial coverage of leading business and financial stories, the paper features regional and global corporate news, as well as hallmark political and economic reporting. The Daily Global Finance and World Markets pages, plus an expanded markets statistics package offer snapshots of more markets and countries with enhanced online offerings for individual stock listings for more than 25,000 companies. Earlier this year, it also launched Style Journal, a quarterly lifestyle and fashion magazine as well as introducing two new columns covering technology and luxury travel.
By offering optional full access to The Wall Street Journal Online (the largest paid subscription news site on the web with 761,000 subscribers), readers can enjoy additional material such as online-exclusive columns and news coverage, full interview transcripts, photos, statistics, graphics and videos and much more.
The Wall Street Journal Europe is published by Dow Jones & Company, along with The Wall Street Journal (US), The Wall Street Journal Asia and The Wall Street Journal Online at WSJ.com.
Together, these publications have a paid circulation of 2.7 million, providing business leaders around the world with unsurpassed coverage of global business news, edited from a local perspective. The Wall Street Journal holds 31 Pulitzer Prizes for outstanding journalism.
The Wall Street Journal Europe is printed at 10 European sites, including Italy, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK and Republic of Ireland; and is also printed digitally in Tel Aviv and Nice.
