Try A dive for charity

Atlam Sub Aqua Club is once again taking the initiative to organise, for the eighth consecutive year, a Scuba Diving Open Day to raise funds for charity. This year, the event that will be held in aid of St Joseph’s Home in St Venera, will take place on Sunday 23rd July between 9am and 6pm at Qawra Point. It is expected that a Lm3.50 donation will be collected from each participant.

Members of the public will have the opportunity to have a go at scuba diving. They will be professionally led and assisted by diving instructors. Doctors will be in attendance to carry out the necessary checks on all the participants. For more information, do not hesitate to contact Edwin Zammit on mobile no. 7946-6663.

Conditions for rRegistration:

• Registrations start at 8am till 4pm on a first come-first served basis.

• All necessary equipment will be provided.

• Candidates will have to fill and sign a good state of health declaration/liability disclaimer form.

• Candidates who have their own mask and fins can bring them along.

• Candidates must be 14 years or over. Registrations for candidates between 14 and 17 years must be signed by both parents on presentation of the parents ID cards.

• Diving depth to approx three metres in groups of four.

A certificate of participation will be awarded to all participants.
