A 30-year old foreigner who resides in Marsa is in a critical condition after he was hit on the head by a stone falling a height of three storeys.

The incident took place at the Bulebel Industrial Estate in Zejtun when a stone was dislodged after workers re-arranged ropes on scaffolding three storeys high.

Members of the Civil Protection were called on site.

An ambulance took the man to hospital where he was certified as suffering grievous injuries and in a critical condition.

Duty Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna was informed about the case and appointed various experts to help with the inquiry.
