Emirates Searches for service talents in Malta

Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, is once again hosting a recruitment session in Malta to look for service-oriented Maltese cabin crew to join the airline.

This is the sixth call for applications made by Emirates within the last 18 months, demonstrating the strong commitment that the airline has towards Malta and its citizens.

Prospective candidates can attend an Open Day and screening on 5 August at the InterContinental Hotel, St George’s Bay, St Julian’s at 9am. Successful candidates will be invited to attend the final interviews, which will be held between 6 and 8 August.

Interested applicants are required to present their resumé together with full-length and passport size photographs in business attire. Alternatively, candidates can forward their applications on-line through www.emiratesgroupcareers.com

“For the third time this year, Emirates is looking for talented Maltese men and women to join its multi-cultural workforce. This shows the airline’s great interest in recruiting potential Maltese cabin crew,” said Emirates Malta and Cyprus manager Paul Fleri Soler. “The selected candidates will be given specialised training at the Emirates Aviation College in Dubai. Training and experience are paramount in our crews’ efforts to provide an enjoyable and comfortable journey for all our passengers.”

Currently, there are more than 60 Maltese nationals working for the airline. Candidates should have an education up to at least matriculation level and fluency in written and spoken English and Maltese. The ability to communicate in other languages, and previous customer service experience, are added advantages.

Now numbering over 6,000, Emirates cabin crew are selected from more than 100 nationalities, and speak many languages. This ensures that every flight has at least one cabin crew member who speaks the language of the destination.
