Sedqa and the Royal British Legion are conducting an awareness campaign among primary and secondary school students attending the English Language Summer Courses in Malta and Gozo via a creative writing competition.
The competition is stimulated by visual creations handed to students to enable them to write about the problems and dangers facing them as a result of alcoholism, smoking and drug abuse – and their consequences to their life, their parents and to society.
Sedqa officials will give book prizes to all the winners from Years 4 to 6 and from Forms I to V at the annual British Legion prize days in Malta and Gozo.
The coordinator for Sedqa is Martin Chetcuti and for the Royal British Legion Dunstan Hamilton.
