Two men yesterday pleaded guilty to having stolen water pumps and fittings from a field in Mtarfa.
Sandro Degabriele, 27, and Alexander Schembri, 51, pleaded guilty to stealing two water pumps and related fittings off Paul Abela from his property in Mtarfa. Degabriele also pleaded guilty to relapsing.
The court, presided over by magistrate Antonio Mizzi, fined Degabriele Lm100 and conditionally discharged Schembri for one year.
Police inspector Roland Cassar prosecuted while Dr Michael Sciriha and Dr Ian Farrugia appeared for the defendants.
