The port, transport and aviation section of the Union Haddiema Maghqudin has signed a collective agreement with workers of the Malta Maritime Authority.

The result of months of discussion with the management of the MMA, together with the help of Competitiveness and Communications Minister Censu Galea and the union’s collective bargaining unit, this collective agreement will improve workers’ conditions and salaries.

The collective agreement covers the period between 2006 and 2010 and is effective from 1 January 2006.
