Malta Independent Saturday, 29 July 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

The Malta Transport Authority has presented cheques to the three winners of the Board a bus and win lottery.

The lottery rewarded people who use public transport and, at the same time, promote cleaner bus termini.

The first prize of Lm300 was donated to Life cycle because the winner was a tourist and could not be traced. The second and third prizes of Lm150 and Lm50 were presented to Ms H. Cardona and Ms S. Farrugia, respectively.

The lottery, which takes place every month, began in June. To participate, public transport users are asked to send their bus tickets, issued during that month, with their name, identity card number and contact telephone number on the back, to the Malta Transport Authority, c/o PO Box No. 51, Msida, by the fifth day of the following month.

Alternatively, tickets can be deposited at the Malta Transport Authority’s offices in Sa Maison Road, Floriana, by not later than 4.30pm of the fifth day of the following month.

In other words, tickets bought throughout July, and up to the last day of July, have to reach the PO box or the ADT offices by 5 August. The next draw will be held on Monday, 7 August.

Owners of day tickets and prepaid tickets are eligible to enter the draw.
