A Nationalist Party statement, signed by party secretary Joe Saliba, strongly denied what was claimed by Labour leader Alfred Sant in Parliament – that money had been paid to the PN for plots to be included in the development zone.

The PN statement invited Dr Sant to repeat this allegation outside the House so that procedures be taken against him.
