Eight Maltese companies have participated in the second annual exhibition for telecoms and information technology that was held at the Tripoli International Fairgrounds, Libya, between 17 and 20 July.

The fair, which was hosted by the General Post & Telecommunications Com-

pany of Libya (GPTC), offered exhibitors the opportunity to tap into the ever-growing Libyan market for ICT goods and services by making contact with key players in the Libyan ICT sector.

The Maltese exhibitors were drawn from a number of sectors, including telecommunications and office equipment, software solutions and educational and training services.

Malta’s Ambassador to Libya, Joseph Cassar, toured the fair and visited the Maltese stands, discussing areas of mutual interest with the participants.

The exhibitors were pleased with their participation and reported very good sale leads with ICT companies in Libya.

This participation was coordinated by the offices of Malta Enterprise in Malta and in Tripoli, Libya.
