On Sunday 13 August, the Sliema Band will perform a musical programme on the feast of St Geatano in Hamrun.

At the beginning of the procession homage will be paid to San Geatano with the hymn Xerrdu l-Ferh by Anton Muscat Azzopardi.

The Sliema Band under the direction of Mro Ronnie Debattista FLCM, will then perform works by Pasqual Marquina, Giuseppe Verdi, Cesare Andrea Bixio, Ludwig van Beethoven, Vincenzo Bellini, Carmelo Pace, Robert Stolz and Johann Strauss.

When the procession returns to the parish church, the Sliema Band will play the popular hymns of Willie Attard and Joseph Abela Scolaro during the traditional run of the statue of San Gaetano to the church.

The Sliema Band will end the programme with the popular Fliegermarsch by Herman Dorstal and the Inno Sliema by Cardenio Botti.
