Second Cinemum Event

Malta Independent Sunday, 13 August 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 19 years ago

The second Cinemum morning was held at the Eden Cinemas last month Over 200 mothers and babies of different ages, which was more than the first time round, attended. Guardians paid only Lm2 and children under four entered free of charge. Parking was also free at the Eden car park.

On this occasion the Eden Cinemas showed the film The Wild, an amusing, animated film that entertained the older children as well as being fun for mothers. Most young babies slept throughout the film, allowing their mothers to enjoy the film along with the older children.

Bottle warmers and nappy changers were again made available by Little People. The movie began slightly after 9.30am and during the interval tea, coffee and biscuits were served to all by InterContinental Malta.

A play area full of Smoby toys was set up, which allowed children to burn off some energy in the intermission and when they needed a break from the theatre. hinking Living were also present with their lovely baby related gear.

After the film, a half-hour baby music session, conducted by Coryse Naudi of Mini Stages, thrilled babes and mums.

Cinemum mornings will now be held regularly at Eden Cinemas in St Julian’s.

This event was also sponsored by Pampers.
