As a summer initiative, the Amateur Fishing Association together with the St Paul’s Bay local council held an underwater clean-up activity near the Dawret il-Gzejjer quay yesterday.

Various divers took part in the activity with a substantial amount of rubbish reclaimed from the seabed.

The St Paul’s Bay local council encourages such activities and had already organised a similar event last April, when members from the Underwater Diving Club had taken part in a seabed clean up in the stretch of sea between the Gillieru Restaurant and the Sirens Waterpolo Club.
