The police are holding four men and two women who were allegedly found in possession of ecstasy and cannabis resin at a party on Monday night.

They were arrested by members of the anti-drug squad inside an entertainment spot in Paceville, the police said.

The ages of the four men range between 17 and 26 and they are from Naxxar, Msida and Paola, while the two women’s ages are 21 and 24, and they are from Rabat

and Qormi.

It was reported that one person was arrested for possessing cannabis resin, while the rest were all found to be in possession of ecstasy.

The police said that they observed one of the arrested men, a 26-year-old Msida resident, passing on six ecstasy pills to another person.

All six persons are being kept in police custody for further investigation.
