For the third consecutive month, Eden Cinemas organised a morning film for mums and their babies. Of course, dads were welcome and so were grandparents and other guardians. In fact, so many turned up that the theatres were jam-packed. Also, many mums brought their older children along, as they are now on their summer holidays and the films were suitable for all ages.
This time, Eden Cinemas showed two films – Ice Age 2 was shown for mothers with older children, and The Lake House was shown for mothers with young babies who slept throughout the film, leaving the mothers to enjoy a grown-up movie.
As usual, the event was a great success with mums being offered tea/coffee/cookies by the InterContinental Malta during the interval. While their kids played in the Smoby Toys area, the adults had the opportunity of viewing baby-related goods by Thinking Living, which were on show and also of winning Pamper products made available by Pampers. Nappy changers and bottle warmers were again provided by Little People.
During the morning, Kate de Cesare, marketing manager for the Eden Leisure Group, announced the launch of “Bowl a Mama”, bowling mornings for mums and their kids and of “Pushing Power”, fitness classes specially designed for mums with babies in buggies.
More information on these activities can be found on www.edensuperbowl.com and www.cynergi.com.mt respectively.
The next Cinemum event will be held on Friday 25 August. Garfield 2 and Cars will be shown.
