Children Cinema Day On 2 September

KRS film distributors will be organising this year’s second Children Cinema Day on Saturday, 2 September.

Animated features, thrillers, adventures and comedies have been chosen for this event, which is once again expected to attract large

audiences at all cinemas.

A total of 17 films will be shown, including Nacho Libre, Monster House, Stormbreaker, Just My Luck, Cars, Garfield 2, Superman Returns, Pirates of the Caribbean – Dead Man’s Chest, R.V. – Runaway Vacation, Over the Hedge, The Wild, X-men – The Last Stand and Ice Age 2 – The Meltdown. While the comedy Nacho Libre is rated “12”, all the other films carry a “PG” or “U” classification.

Children Cinema Day will be celebrated at Eden Cinemas in St George’s Bay and Fgura, the Empire Cinema in Bugibba, Embassy Cinemaworld in Valletta, The New Sun City Cine Palais in Marsascala and the Citadel Cinema in Gozo.

The first show will be at 9am, and the last will be at 7pm. The two-screen cinema in Gozo will show children’s films at 3.45pm and 6pm.

The price of admission at all cinemas will be Lm1 for children and Lm1.50 for accompanying adults. Booking opens on Monday, 28 August and early booking is recommended.
