Courses For journalists

The Tumas Fenech Foundation for Education in Journalism is organising two courses for journalists, media students and other interested individuals.

The first, on Illegal immigration, racism, cultural diversity and the media, is being organised in collaboration with the Jesuit Refugee Service on 4, 5 and 6 October between 9.15am and 1pm at the Hilton Hotel. The fee is Lm15 for members of the Institute of Maltese Journalists and Lm20 for non-members.

A course on Photo-journalism will be held on 16, 17 and 18 October from 9am to 5pm. It will be run by John Wilkinson, who for 10 years was Chief Sub Editor for the UK newspaper The News, published in Portsmouth, and is the former chairman of the Southern Region Advisory Committee of the UK’s National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ).

This course will be held at the Halland Hotel and will cost Lm20 for Institute members and Lm30 for non-members.
