A director of a Maltese company was yesterday charged with the misappropriation of money that was owed to the government in Value Added Tax.

Before Magistrate Miriam Hayman, Henri Darmanin pleaded not guilty to the misappropriation of the money that he was trusted with in view of his position in the company. The money was owed to the government in Value Added Tax.

Police Inspector Joseph Cordina prosecuted.
