Not Guilty of selling clothes with a fake trademark

Malta Independent Friday, 15 December 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

A man was cleared of selling items of clothing with a fake trademark after the complainant, who claimed he had the right to use that trademark, failed to provide the court with original items for the court to be able to compare them.

Renald Formston, 20, from Valletta, was originally charged with selling clothes with the Punkie Fish trademark. Magistrate Giovanni Grixti cleared the man of these charges after the court was informed that the complainant had retracted his complaint.

Police Inspector Ian Abdilla prosecuted.
