A 22-year-old of Hamrun was yesterday charged with allegedly hitting a man with a flick-knife last Saturday in Iklin.
The man, Robert Gatt, was charged with hitting Alan Chetcuti, 25, of Cospicua. The two were involved in an argument on the road.
Mr Gatt was accused of attempting to injure Mr Chetcuti. He was also charged with being in possession of a sharp and pointed instrument without a police licence and of breaching the peace. He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail on a deposit of Lm400 and a personal guarantee of Lm1,000.
Inspector Ramon Mercieca prosecuted. Dr Gianella Caruana Curran appeared for the accused.
