A weekend camp organised by the Qawra Scout Group at the Birzebbuga Scouts Headquarters included 10 young people from Dar Merhba Bik and St Patrick’s Salesian School, thanks to the HSBC Cares For Children Fund (HCCF).

The newcomers to the group integrated well with the scouts and joined in the three days of learning and fun. The camp included a night hike, a flag break, a Hallowe’en fancy dress party, a treasure hunt, a walk on the beach and a sand

castle competition.

“One of the aims of HCCF is to give disadvantaged young people the opportunity to gain extra curricular experiences. This camp has proved a success in that it provided such an opportunity, where young people from different backgrounds got together and learned from each other, said HSBC Cares For Children Fund chairperson Catherine Gonzi.
