UHM Complains about Heritage Malta collective agreement

Malta Independent Monday, 8 January 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

The Union Haddiema Maghqudin (UHM) civil servants section has expressed its disappointment at the unnecessary delays by the Collective Bargaining Unit (CBU) over the Heritage Malta’s collective agreement.

The UHM had sent its proposals for the new collective agreement last August, knowing that the existing agreement would be expiring on 31 December.

Although the union has begun holding negotiations, it noted that the CBU has still not presented its financial proposal and, in fact, the parties have not met for a number of weeks.

The section informed the Heritage Malta management and the CBU that it will take industrial action unless the situation changes.

The union announced that the Heritage Malta Group committee will meet on Wednesday to discuss the best steps to be taken in the current situation.
