Three men, aged between 23 and 35 were arrested and held for questioning on Saturday evening after they were found in possession of cannabis resin and heroin during a road block in the central part of the island.

The Armed Forces of Malta said the youths were handed over to the police for investigations.

Meanwhile, the AFM said another two youths were also held for questioning when they were driving a vehicle without a driving licence or insurance cover. These two are also being investigated.
