An owner and an employee of a place of entertainment in Marsascala were yesterday fined Lm1,100 each after they pleaded guilty to allowing nine minors, under the age of 16, enter the club.
The court, presided over by Magistrate Saviour Demicoli, heard Leonard Desira, 37, from Zabbar, the owner of Osiris in Marsascala, and employee Noel Mallia, 31, from Cospicua, plead guilty to allowing the minors to enter their club on 18 February last year at 9.45pm.
Magistrate Demicoli fined the men Lm1,100 each.
Police Inspector Anthony Cassar prosecuted while Dr Anglu Farrugia appeared for the accused.
