Minister Frendo In talks on Malta’s EU-Arab League initiative

Following his visit to Rome, where he addressed the Italian Press on Malta’s initiative for an EU-Arab League foreign ministers meeting, Foreign Minister Michael Frendo has made a one-day visit to Tunis, where he discussed the Malta initiative with Tunisian Foreign Minister Abdelwaheb Abdallah.

Ministers Frendo and Abdallah also discussed the situation in the Mediterranean and the Middle East, the 5+5 Dialogue, and current items on the agenda of the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Foreign Minister Frendo also visited the exhibition on Maltese history and culture set up in Tunis by the Malta Embassy in conjunction with the Malta Ministry of Tourism as part of a Malta month to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Maltese-Tunisian diplomatic relations.

In Tunis, the minister was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Cecilia Attard Pirotta and Malta’s Ambassador to Tunisia Tanya Vella.
