An Attard man was conditionally discharged for two years after he pleaded guilty to damaging a friend’s car following an argument between them.
Neville Cassar, 24, was charged with damaging a Mini Cooper with a crowbar, to the detriment of Matthew John Migneco, in St Catherine Street, Attard on 13 May last year. The two friends are said to have argued over Lm20 that Mr Migneco owed the accused, who also admitted to threatening his friend with the same weapon and with breaching the peace by shouting.
The damage amounted to about Lm500, which the accused agreed to pay his friend and the issue was settled between them, while magistrate Giovanni Grixti conditionally discharged Cassar.
Police inspector Kevin J. Farrugia prosecuted.
