Five men were yesterday charged with circulating and selling fake CDs and DVDs at the Valletta open market on 19 December 2005.

The men are: Nazzareno Buhagiar, 35, from Birkirkara, Joseph Mary Difesa, 54, from Bahar Ic-Caghaq, Gilmore Cachia, 20, from Pembroke, Michael Sultana, 30, from Luqa and Dylan Difesa, 19, from Bahar Ic-Caghaq.

Nazzareno Buhagiar, Joseph Difesa, Gilmore Cachia and Michael Sultana alone were also charged with relapsing.

Before magistrate Antonio Mizzi, the men pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them. Dr Roberto Montalto appeared for the men.
