DiploFoundation, in partnership with the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Commonwealth Secretariat, and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, is organising an International Conference on the Diplomacy of Small States on Thursday and Friday at the Coastline Hotel.

The conference will be opened by Foreign Minister Michael Frendo on Thursday at 10am.

The Malta conference will set the stage for a broader project, tailored to the needs of small states, involving diplomatic training, research and the creation of an information portal, the preparation of a diplomatic toolkit for diplomats of small states and a publication of a book on the subject.

The conference may be of interest to policy-makers and diplomats from small states, as well as academics working on the topic and students of international relations and diplomacy.
