The annual musical show put up by The Helping Hands Group have been a resounding success and this year it celebrates its 10th anniversary of successful annual musicals. The Helping Hands Group – a non-profit organisation of teachers/students and ex-students from M.A Refalo Post Secondary School in Victoria have excelled year after year with a number of musical shows namely Jesus Christ Superstar (1997), Les Miserables (Highlights – 1998), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1999), The Best of Musicals (2001), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2003), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Malta Premier 2004), A Night with the Musicals (2005) and last but definitely not least LesMisSaigonGuerre (2006) staged both in Gozo and later in Malta (July 2006) at Malta Hilton.

This year, The Helping Hands Group has something special in store to commemorate this anniversary. A spectacular rendering of one of the most popular musicals of all time – Jesus Christ Superstar. This show will be staged at the Oratory Don Bosco in Victoria on 25 and 31 March.

A live orchestra under the direction of Mro Joseph Grech will play authentic West End arrangements. The orchestra will be complemented by a large number of actors, singers, choristers and stage crew including The Helping Hands Group Chorus. A well known cast of singers will assure an unforgettable evening. The celebrity cast includes Ludwig Galea, Pamela Bezzina, Roger Tirazona, Kevin Galea, Noel Galea, J Anvil, Neville Refalo, Mario Portelli and Fabian Galea and many, many others.
