Labour leader Alfred Sant yesterday presented Labour’s 110 candidates for the 10 March local council elections.
They include 15 women candidates, 95 males, and 24 youths.
Dr Sant also hinted at the localities where Labour nurtures some hope of overturning the present PN majority: Gzira, Mosta, apart from Siggiewi and Swieqi where PN has always been strong.
Three years ago Labour won a narrow win in the corresponding election but that was the day of the European Parliament election and there may have been a higher turnout than usual.
