A market hawker was yesterday charged with piracy and selling counterfeit goods.
Nazzareno Buhagiar, 35, pleaded not guilty to having 343 counterfeit DVDs and 185 CDs in his possession and ready for sale on 13 July 2006.
He was also accused of producing counterfeit items and of relapsing in view of previous convictions.
Police Inspector Angelo Gafà prosecuted while Dr Roberto Montalto appeared for the accused.
