Malta Independent Friday, 16 February 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

A Zabbar man yesterday appeared in court on charges of being in possession of heroin with intent to deal to third parties.

Melvin Pace, 30, pleaded not guilty to being in possession of 10 sachets of heroin on 14 February. He was also accused of relapsing in view of previous convictions.

The court, presided over by Magistrate Jacqueline Padovani, refused the accused’s bail application. Police Inspector Nadia Lanzon prosecuted while Dr Franco Debono appeared for the defence.
