Parliament: Parliamentary Questions: St Julian’s Petition never reached destination

A petition by shop owners in St George’s Road, St Julian’s which according to Labour MP Leo Brincat suggested time parking of around 30 minutes in the area near the new garden in St Julian’s, opposite Wembley Garage and HSBC, never reached its destination, the Traffic Management records at the Malta Transport Authority, according to Urban Development and Roads Minister Jesmond Mugliett.

Lm0.8 million spent in embassies’ lease

The sum of Lm885,000 was spent last year in leasing the various embassies that Malta has in foreign countries, Foreign Minister Michael Frendo told Labour MP Noel Farrugia.

The ministry further spent Lm12,000 in leasing its head office.

But, the minister added in reply to a further question by Mr Farrugia, the ministry did not spend anything in buying plants that year, nor for the purchase of furniture or paintings.
