Labour MP Anglu Farrugia said Parliamentary Secretary Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici had “taken out” 2,200 executive official letters from the law courts without proper authorisation.
In a statement, Dr Farrugia said he had submitted a parliamentary question to Justice and Home Affairs Minister Tonio Borg, asking him how many times had court documents been taken to his office or that of Dr Mifsud Bonnici.
On 12 February, Dr Borg had replied that this had happened three times and, in total, 2,200 executive official letters had been taken out by Dr Mifsud Bonnici “without authorisation”.
After Dr Borg’s reply, Dr Farrugia said that in Parliament he had asked for Police Commissioner John Rizzo to investigate the matter.
