The follow-up to the big success that the theatrical company Talenti has had in the Manoel Theatre during the month of January with the Machiavellian comedy The Mandrake Root, aptly translated the adapted to Maltese with the title L-Impotenti, it now returns to the fore with the presentation of another comedy in Maltese L-Imfietah.

This is an original writing by Zep Camilleri who is also directing and Mario Micallef who, all on his own, will interpret six different characters. Helping Mario out will be three beautiful young dancers who will also act out a few scenes of their own. Costumes will be provided by Anthony West and May Vassallo while make-up will be left in the hands of top artist Anton Farrugia. Zep Camilleri will take care of dressing up the stage with furniture and props.

Up there in heaven, where everything is supposed to run smoothly and all good souls live happily ever after, a problem suddenly crops up! The keys to Heaven’s main gate go missing! Are they lost or stolen? Good old Peter, who is responsible for the daily intake of souls to the kingdom, and hence of the main gate, goes berserk when he finds out of this great and calamitous mishap. At the same time, with great awe and surprise, the souls of three very famous characters are seen moving about in the corridors of heaven, namely those of Adolf Hitler, Caesar Nero and Cleopatra. How did these three dubious souls get up there? Who let them in? Had they shown remorse and asked for clemency? What link could there be between the missing keys to the pearly gate and the admission of these three souls to the kingdom of heaven?

One final headache for all! Three Maltese girls, who had lost their young lives in a tragic traffic accident, resume their earthly squabbles even in the new dimensions.

Two of them had won their right to go up to heaven, and the third one was doomed to the depths of the abyss. How do these girls get embroiled in the mystery of the missing keys? What do they know about the process of stealing souls from “down there to up there”! And poor Peter? How does he feel in the face of all this nuisance that is disturbing the “eternal peace”?

New story, new predicament! How will Mario Micallef survive the ordeal this time?
