Bliet u Rhula Maltin (Maltese towns and villages) is the theme of an Art Exhibition to be held at the Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, Palazzo De La Salle, 219 Republic Street, Valletta.
The exhibition is the work of 20 students who are studying art at advanced level under the tutorship of Matthew Cassar of Rabat.
The students were encouraged to research and portray the character of their native town or village.
This is the third consecutive year that this group of student artists are presenting their works at the same venue. The previous exhibitions organised by this group were titled “Tribes” and “Cultures” respectively.
The mayors of each town and village represented at this year’s exhibition are being invited to attend the opening evening and each one of them will be presented with an artwork portraying a particular feature of their town or village.
The exhibition will be open to the public between 6 and 16 March, from 9am to 1pm and 4.30 to 7pm on weekdays and on Saturday from 9.30 to 11.30am.
