“The Poster” is the title of an illustrated talk that will be given by Joseph Casha in the lecture hall of the School of Art, 106, Old Bakery Street, Valletta, on Friday at 6pm.

Mr Casha’s talk together with a handout will focus on the first posters by Cheret and Lautrec, followed by works of leading international artists and designers such as Picasso, Milton Glaser, Georgia O’Keefe and Keith Haring. More than 60 illustrations feature posters related to leading consumer brands, travel, sport, expos, movies and theatres. A small number of Maltese posters will also be shown.
