As Roger Waters, co-founder and principal songwriter of the legendary rock band Pink Floyd, took part in a worldwide tour to perform songs from the band’s epic album, The Dark Side of the Moon, a comprehensive behind-the-scenes operation was mounted to ensure 24 tonnes of specialist staging equipment reached the concert venue on time to be able to provide a high-powered arena act.

Waters’ back-to-back schedule: Shanghai 12 February, Hong Kong 15 February, Mumbai 18th February, and Dubai 21 February, only allowed for a 24-hour window between the shipment’s arrival and the concert’s start.

Emirates SkyCargo met the challenge by transporting the stage lighting, video and audio equipment in special air freight charters that operated as per concert timelines, and within commercial schedules.
