The romance and elegance of old Venice was the theme around which the Victoria Hotel’s annual trade party was centred this year.

At the party, which was held at Palazzo Capua, guests were directed to the magnificent atmosphere of old Venice or to another, future, Venice portrayed as a futuristic underwater city.

The Palazzo’s halls were appropriately decked out to represent these diverse themes and the evening also included a number of activities, including quizzes and games.

The hotel’s general manager Claire Xuereb thanked everyone present for their support and cooperation throughout the year and throughout the 10 years since the Victoria Hotel opened its doors.

She said, “It is only thanks to the trust that you have shown in us that we are inaugurating this celebration with the crowning of a new 5 star coming up in Summer. Had it not been for your support as well as the staff’s delivery of service, would not be here today.”

Ms Xuereb then went on to speak about how it is intended to build the foundations of the new Palace Hotel on the same pillars as the Victoria.

The guests at the trade party included AX Holdings chairman Angelo Xuereb and Mrs Xuereb and other representatives of the hotel and tourism industry.
