Valletta Fund Management Limited has introduced another innovative investment product – the Vilhena Global Themed Fund. This fund will focus on a number of global investment themes that are set to benefit from the changes affecting today’s world.

Insight Investment Management (Global) Limited, as the sub-Investment manager of the fund, will identify a number of themes that fit well together to invest in companies globally which offer growth prospects to potential investors.

A theme can be defined as a subject or topic relating to a specific area of investment which stands to benefit from social changes, secular changes in demand and supply or economic cycles to include portfolio themes such as alternative energy, healthy living and technological change.

David Marchant, head of International Equities at Insight Investment, who was in Malta to assist in the introduction of the Vilhena Global Themed Fund explained, “Our ideas are the direct result of a combination of thematic research into areas of long-term structural growth which are then supported by quantitative screening of our stock universe to identify opportunities for our clients.
