Direct from their sell-out tour in Britain, Beyond the Barricade – the UK’s leading musical theatre concert, featuring the best of West End and Broadway shows and starring past principal performers from legendary musicals – is returning by popular demand to the Manoel Theatre – thanks to Masquerade Theatre Company – from Friday, 27 to Sunday, 29 April.
Appearing on stage with their spectacular new show for 2007 will be David Fawcett, Andy Reiss, Claire Marlowe and Katie Leeming, all of whom have taken major roles in West End musicals.
Fawcett and Reiss devised Beyond the Barricade after appearing in the Manchester and London casts of Les Misérables, with David playing Jean Valjean and Andy playing Enjolras. The show has been touring for 10 successful years throughout the UK and Ireland, delighting audiences with its exciting concert portrayal of the greatest songs in theatre, all performed totally live!
Featuring songs from The Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Wicked, Spamalot, We Will Rock You, Miss Saigon, Blood Brothers, and a host of others, the show climaxes with a selection from, of course, Les Misérables.
