An exhibition of paintings by Luciano Micallef and photos by Daniel Cilia is currently being held at the Italian Cultural Institute. This initiative was taken by the director Dr Anna Maria Di Marco who invited two artists who not only studied in Italy but also cultivate a huge interest for Italy. The paintings by Luciano represent a number of architectural monuments found in some of the most prominent cities of Italy. Each building is superimposed on a colourful background of colour. Daniel took a series of shots of the city of Florence during one morning, the city where he resides most of the time. The photos are not the usual tourist perspectives, but often details which sometimes go unnoticed. The exhibition will remain open till 20 April.
