The launching of a book on abstract painting by Luciano Micallef took place recently at Gallery 5 to quite an audience interested in art and art books.

The authors of the book, Prof. D. E. Cooper, Dr P. Sant Cassia, Doris Zarb, Donald Friggieri and Luciano, each delivered a brief commentary about the publication. This 200 page hard back edition is very colourfully illustrated spanning over 15 years of Luciano’s abstract production of paintings. Luciano himself has dedicated a chapter elaborating the various reasons and processes regarding abstract painting. The publication is available in all major book stores.
