Embassy Cinemas Kids Club First event

Malta Independent Tuesday, 24 April 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 19 years ago

On Saturday 7 April, the Embassy Cinemas held its first event for members of its Kids Club. Members and non-members were invited to watch Meet the Robinsons followed by a treasure hunt for chocolate Easter eggs and other games winning great prizes.

The cinema area was transformed into a racetrack, as the kids searched for eggs in the foyer and under the cinema seats; and it was not too long before the parents joined in… solely to help their children of course (it is hard to admit that most enjoyed it as much as the kids).

The winners were as follows:

• The Embassy Drawing Competition (Theme: Easter at the Embassy) Luca Bugeja – a Lm10 voucher from Pedigree Toyshop;

• Treasure hunt: Charlene Borg – Found hidden letters to complete the word “Easter” – a Lm5 voucher from Pedigree Toyshop;

• Donovan Borg – Collected most eggs – a hamper from Nesquick

• Holly Burgess, Joshua Mercieca, Luca Bugeja – Three runners up for collecting most eggs – Three large Easter eggs

The Embassy Cinemas Kids Club will be organising activities for its members every first Saturday of the month. Non-members can become members on the day by simply filling a form.

The next activity is scheduled for 5 May. Kids will be watching Spider Man 3, followed by fun and games. The winners of the next competition will also be announced. For this competition, children should submit a poem for Mother’s Day in Maltese or English – so kids, get writing and bring your poems with you on the day! The Embassy Kids Club prizes are sponsored by Pedigree Toyshops and Nesquick. All children will also be getting a free 350g box of cereal from Nesquick.
