The Prime Minister visited Mosta industrial estate yesterday as part of his Workers’ Day activities, expressing confidence in the self-employed and the small businessmen because through their work they were helping the expansion of the economy.

During his tour of the estate, Dr Gonzi spoke to business owners in the woodworking, aluminium, car, marble and gypsum sectors, saying that in every initiative it took, the government had the people at heart.

Education and roads expenditure, tourism development and industrial policies were all areas that also helped the self employed or those running small businesses, he said. SmartCity was a result of their policies and this would be creating huge activities with opportunities for everyone.
