Ryanair, Europe’s largest low-fare airline, yesterday announced that it is to operate seven new routes from its Bremen base to Alghero in Sardinia, Bratislava, Malta, Milan, Paris, Stockholm and Trapani in Sicily.

The new route from Malta to Bremen will operate three times a week from 25 September, it said.

Announcing the new routes, Ryanair’s sales manager for Southern Europe Bridget Dowling said: “We have already seen great

success on the three existing Ryanair routes from Malta and we are confident that this new route to Bremen will be equally successful.”

The new route will operate three times a week, carrying an additional 40,000 passengers to and from Malta every year and creating an additional 40 jobs, the

company said.

Flights will leave Bremen at 6.30am, landing in Malta at 9.45, and will depart from Malta at 10.10am, landing in Bremen at 1.25pm. The flights will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

“To celebrate this new route, we are offering flights from just e0.01 (one way, excluding taxes and charges) on all Maltese routes (Pisa, London Luton, Dublin and Bremen) and we advise

passengers to log onto www.ryanair.com immediately, as demand for bargain seats from Malta will be very strong,” Ms Dowling said.

Timings: Bremen-Malta 6.30 to 9.45am; Malta-Bremen 10.10am to 1.25pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
