Families yesterday had the opportunity to enjoy a day out, participating in various fun activities while helping out children in Kenya through the Kare 4 Kenya Fun Day.

The daylong activity was held at the Ta’ Qali picnic area and offered a variety of games and prizes.

Activity spokesperson Brandon Pisani said that there was a very good turn out with families and children participating in almost all the activities.

He explained that the funds collected from the activity will go towards paying school fees, medicines and buying uniforms for children in Kenya.

Furthermore, he added, the money will help the children’s families.

Mr Pisani explained that a group of 11 volunteers will go to Kenya for one month in summer to help the children during the summer school.
